About Me

IMG_7593.jpeg

Hey there!

I’m so happy you’re here! My name’s Yhessika—pronounced like "Jessica." My mom got creative with the spelling, and I think it suits me perfectly. I’m originally from Venezuela, a place where we love our arepas and live with purpose.

A bit about my journey: I graduated from law school and worked as a lawyer for many years, focusing on helping people in my own way. But deep down, I knew I was searching for something more fulfilling. When I discovered yoga, I felt I’d finally found my path. Yoga didn’t just inspire me; it gave me the tools to help others in a deeper way. As I continued working in other roles to support myself, I began building my career as a yoga teacher, drawn by the potential to make a positive impact.

Then, the pandemic hit, changing everything. Suddenly, the need for peace, connection, and resilience was everywhere, and I knew this was my opportunity to guide others through the challenges and uncertainty we were all facing. I offered classes to friends and anyone who needed a bit of grounding and hope, and I felt a renewed sense of purpose.

Today, my classes focus on the power of mindful movement, breath, and self-awareness. I’m particularly fascinated by the connection between the brain, gut, and overall well-being, which is why meditation and neuroscience play such a big role in my practice. Real wellness, I believe, starts in the mind.

Now based in New York City, I’m thrilled to support you on your yoga journey—helping you deepen your connection with yourself and experience the incredible benefits yoga can bring to your life. It has the power to transform not just the body, but the mind and soul.

I can’t wait to walk this path with you and see what we can discover together!
